So, I've been brave.
Inspired by Paisley Jade and her bold crafting in public, I finally did it last week- joined in with being a craft nerd going public. Photographed here, during a child free trip, by my husband in the departure lounge at Queenstown Airport, NZ, 'no needle knitting' a scarf.
Then, I got one of the craft nerd's husband supporting in public- he had to hold the knitting (very carefully, I might add) when a bathroom visit was required.

More to come on 'no needle knitting', which a lovely lady I met on the lake front in Queenstown, who spins and dyes her own gorgeous merino wool (which I was knitting), taught me in a matter of minutes. And, which meant I could knit after going through airport security and amazingly on a plane where you can't take knitting needles these days!
Yay!! You are so awesome - and what a great idea for plane trips!!
ReplyDeleteum, craft COOL going public!
ReplyDeleteis that finger knitting? I taught Jada how to do that, she made a scarf for her doll I think. great for road trips too.
PS the Dr is a rockstar ;)
Yay for crafting in public!! My son taught himself to finger crochet (he's 7, of course he did) & the knitting option might be right up his alley too. I guess being at the airport you could say it was 'international'?? Love Posie
