I enjoy working with leather and had a go at making my own leather handbag.
I used up some grey suede I had and lined it with some
gorgeous vintage looking yellow daisy fabric

that caught my eye at Spotlight.
I made a little pocket for my phone and a pen in the lining.
And, I'm quite please with how the leather came out when sewn.
I'm enjoying using leather in a few of my latest projects.
And, it's always nice to have a new handbag.
I used a pattern from this book, which I added a few of my own touches too:
Love the daisy fabric. I've been a bit preoccupied with daisies this week.

This is beautiful, meticulous stitching. I love working with leather too - and the lining is a master stroke. I've used that fabric for a couple of projects too.
ReplyDeleteNice bag. I also want to make one.
